THE cream of the Forest's football scene will take on Cinderford Town at The Causeway on July 12 (6pm kick-off) in a match designated to showcase Forest talent. Ex-Cinderford Town player Paul Williams is helping to assemble and train a true Forest of Dean XI. Paul believes there are lads in this district more than good enough to play semi-professionally in the Southern League for Cinderford. He told The Forester: "For Cinderford this might be a friendly, but we want to prove a point. "Certain Cinderford managers in the past have said there's no one good enough locally to play for them. We want to go out and show people that the talent is there."
