Tewkesbury v Lydney

LYDNEY triumphed by three wickets away at Tewkesbury.

Electing to bat first, the hosts found the bowling hard to get away. They collapsed to 74-6 at the halfway stage, but a seventh wicket stand of 60 between Tom Allcoat (37) and Ben Gwilliam (29) gave them renewed hope. When Allcoat was out, bowled by Ed Jones, the Tewkesbury innings faltered, with Pete Glynn (3-27) mopping up the tail.

Will Jones took 2-20 from 10 overs and brother Ed 2-26.

Lydney were always up with the clock when it was their turn to bat, with Will Jones top scoring with 37 from 74 balls.

The score was on 82 when he became the fourth man out.

James Legge (22) and Davy Kear (14) kept the scoreboard ticking over, then Pete Glynn scored 20 not out at a run-a-ball to see the visitors home with four overs to spare.

Lydney take 18 points from the game to Tewkesbury's five.
