IT was a weekend of triumph for English rugby, as the national team claimed Triple Crown glory before winning the Six Nations Championship the following day.

But for Ceri Large and the rest of England’s women’s team, glory will have to wait a week.

Drybrook RFC youth product Ceri scored twice against Wales to help set up a Grand Slam and Six Nations decider in France against the 2014 champions.

Her side saw out a 20-13 victory over the Welsh with player of the match Ceri instrumental in the win.

France can spoil the party for England but having already lost to Wales, a Grand Slam is out of their reach.

Ceri, playing at centre, battered her way past a number of defenders to breach the whitewash near the post, before touching down after an excellent off-load by fly-half Amber Reed.
