CINDERFORD United secured their first league victory of the season with an entertaining 57-33 triumph over Burnham-on-Sea at Bell Sports and Rugby Park.
After suffering two narrow defeats in their opening fixtures, United produced an impressive nine-try attacking display, although a determined second-half comeback from the visitors threatened to overturn their advantage.
Rio Ebanks opened the scoring before Jack Shields crossed for United's second try, with Charlie Stallard adding the conversion.
Max Rendall extended the lead with another try before Burnham responded with a converted effort.
However, United maintained their attacking momentum as Will Day crossed, followed by another score from Ebanks.
The winger completed his first-half hat-trick before the interval, helping establish a commanding advantage for the home side.
Jack Hall added another try after the restart as Cinderford appeared firmly in control.
Nevertheless, Burnham mounted a spirited recovery, scoring three successive tries, two converted, to reduce what had been a 31-point deficit to just 11.
With the visitors threatening an unlikely comeback, Alfie Roberts crossed for a crucial try to restore United's breathing space.
Roberts then added his second in the closing stages, with Stallard converting both efforts to complete a valuable victory.
United manager Paul Morris welcomed the result while acknowledging the visitors' determination.
He said: "We're delighted after two narrow defeats to get our first win in the league this season.
"We deserved it as we were the better side but again we were reminded of how tough this league is as a very spirited Burnham team staged a second half revival."
Morris added that the victory had helped reset standards throughout the squad.
The result provided United with renewed confidence following their frustrating start, with Ebanks' hat-trick and Roberts' late double highlighting their attacking potential.
Cinderford will now look to build on the performance and maintain their winning momentum.
