CINDERFORD U15s produced an outstanding display to maintain their top-of-the-table position with a 45–17 victory over Frampton Cotterell in front of a large home crowd.
From the first whistle, the home side set a ferocious pace, combining energy, skill, and intensity that immediately put their visitors under pressure. It wasn’t long before Owen Morgan broke through to score the opening try out wide, with Tyler C adding the conversion to give Cinderford a 7–0 lead.
The hosts continued to dominate, with Olli Evans and Billy Taylor both crossing the line to extend the advantage to 19–0. Tyler C then added two further tries before the break, capping a superb first-half performance and pushing Cinderford into a commanding 33–0 lead.
The combination of relentless defence and precise finishing left Frampton Cotterell struggling to gain any momentum in the opening stages.
After the interval, the visitors regrouped and produced some impressive rugby of their own, showing why this clash had been billed as a top-of-the-table showdown.
They managed to score a number of tries in the second half and put the home side under pressure at times. Yet Cinderford remained dangerous whenever they had possession, with Kai James crossing the line and Tyler C completing his hat-trick to seal a well-deserved bonus-point victory.
Despite Frampton Cotterell outscoring Cinderford in the second half, the result was never really in doubt. The hosts’ ferocious defence and clinical finishing in the opening stages laid the foundation for victory, and their first-half intensity proved the difference between the sides.
Man of the Match was awarded to Tyler Gwynne, who impressed with a tireless defensive effort and powerful carries that consistently advanced Cinderford up the field.
The win keeps Cinderford U15s firmly at the top of the league and provides a huge boost to confidence as they head into the final stages of the season.
