CHRIS Bundy admitted it was a 'proud moment' captaining Cinderford for the first time in Saturday's 31-7 defeat of Hull Ioninans.
Bundy was given the skipper's armband because George Evans was injured.
He said: "It was nice to be asked and meant quite a lot, having played for the club since I was a kid and come up through the age-groups.
"I didn't think Hull were a bad side at all and they were quite strong up front, but our fitness showed at the end.
"After a couple of losses we needed that win. We've got to try and get that winning mentality back.
"I thought we controlled the game quite well, we're a young side and things are starting to gel."
Bundy says it was a new experience having to organise other players and make big decisions for the team, rather than just concentrate on his own game. However, he relished the extra responsibility.
