FOREST of Dean-based trainer John O'Shea will be looking to continue his stable’s strong run of form at Cheltenham Racecourse this Friday, May 2, with two exciting entries at the Race Night.
Based at Elton Racing Stables, near Newnham, O'Shea has built a reputation for producing consistent winners and placed horses, thanks to over 30 years of experience and a highly skilled team.
In the first race of the evening, the 4:35 PM Cleeve Hill Open Hunters' Chase, O'Shea’s 8-year-old gelding Barton Snow will be aiming to build on his recent success.
Barton Snow, who triumphed at Stratford in March, has shown plenty of promise in his career, with a strong record both on the flat and over jumps.
Under the guidance of jockey Mr James King, Barton Snow is in top form and will be hoping to take on the challenge at Cheltenham.
Later in the evening, O'Shea’s 9-year-old gelding Gracchus de Balme will line up for the 6:20 PM Jonathan Neesom Memorial Open Hunters' Chase.
Fresh off a thrilling victory at Aintree in April, where he narrowly defeated a competitive field, Gracchus de Balme will be looking to continue his impressive run.
Having placed in top-class races before, including a strong second at Haydock in February, he comes into this race as a serious contender.
With King again on board, Gracchus de Balme will be aiming for another win.
Elton Racing Stables, which has been training horses since 1996, offers a friendly and professional approach to racing, with a balanced mix of jumpers and flat racers.
O'Shea’s commitment to quality training has earned him a solid reputation in the industry, and his horses are always ones to watch on race day.
Racegoers at Cheltenham on Friday can expect a thrilling evening, with Barton Snow and Gracchus de Balme both set to put in strong performances.
