Mushet and Coalway Reserves boosted their chances of remaining in Division One of the North Gloucestershire League with three points.

The 2-1 win over fellow strugglers Sling means they are now three points clear of Ruardean Utd who are in the relegation zone along with Ruardean Hill Rangers Reserves.

Mushet’s goals came from Dion Field and Paul Akers.

Grant Robbins pulled one back late on for Sling – who are one place ahead – through Grant Robbins but the home side defended well to see the game out.

Second-placed Staunton and Corse Reserves pulled back three points on leaders Redbrook Rovers who did not have a game.

They beat fourth-placed Lydbrook Athletic Reserves 2-0 with first half goals from Daniel Gittngs and James Sharpe.

There is a four point gap with Rovers having two games left while Staunton have four.

Third-placed Harrow Hill Reserves still have a mathematical chance of promotion after beating bottom side Ruardean Hill Rangers Reserves 2-4.

Their goals came from Jamie Knight, Alfie Macmillan, Craig Boardman and an own goal.

Yorkley won 2-3 at Tidenham.

In the Premier, the top two teams both won keeping the gap at two points.

Leaders Blakeney won 1-4 at Soudley with goals from Sam Dowle, Bailey James, Brendan Meager and Rohan Wilson.

Ollie Taylor scored for the home side.

Huntley, who have a game in hand, were 2-3 victors at Milkwall.

Alexander Roberts scored twice with Huntley’s other goal coming from William Freeman.

Liam Jacques got both Milkwall goals.

Dillano Pennant scored four with two each from Elian Dickinson Clarkson, Charlie Snook and Ackeen Wright as they beat Whitecroft 10-1 whose goal came from Moses Thompson.

Woolaston are through to the final of the JO Roberts Cup after defeating Broadwell Reserves 4-0 with goals from Adam Giles, Joseph Heal, Gareth Rose and Kyle Organ.
