LYDBROOK Reserves made it three wins from three as they beat Sling in a first against second encounter in Division One of the North Gloucestershire League.

Lydbrook who went into the break with a 1-0 lead with a goal a few minutes before half-time.

They got the ball into the net with the last kick of the half but Joe Griffiths was ruled offside.

After Lydbrook doubled their advantage, Sling kept their hopes alive with a goal from Joe Jones after 83 minutes but the visitors held out for the win.

Goals from Joe Chandler, Lewis Edwards and Jack Halson saw Mushet and Coalway Reserves beat Whitecroft 2-3 to move into second.

Ruardean United are third after a 0-2 win at Ellwood with goals from Henry Godwin and Alex Rowles.

Danny Hudson and Ian Norris scored in Yorkley’s 1-2 at Harrow Hill A. Ryan Edwards scored for Hill.

Redmarley & Tibberton United secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Bream Reserves after a strong first-half performance was followed by a determined defensive effort in the second.

The breakthrough came around the half-hour mark following a quick break down the left-hand side.

The ball was worked into the box and Man-of-the-Match John Millar made no mistake from close range to put the home side 1–0 ahead.

United continued to press and doubled their advantage just before half time.

A free kick caused problems for the Bream defence and Paul Jones showed great composure to convert from a tight angle.

Bream piled on the pressure in the second half but struggled to fashion a clear-cut effort.

A goal-keeping error gifted the visitor a goal after 65 minutes through Ash Bonner but from there the home side defended resolutely to see out the game
