CORSE & Staunton lead the West of England Premier Gloucestershire division after making it three wins from three on Saturday.

Ed Goolden and Matt Brown each took three wickets as Gloucester were limited to just shy of four an over.

The visitors from the city won the toss and elected to bat making 197-9 in their 50 overs.

Corse were set a revised target of 193 from 47 overs and passed it with nearly six overs to spare.

Gloucester were quickly in trouble after losing two wickets in the third over to leave them at 8-2, both to Goolden.

He had Luke Carter caught by William Turner with the second delivery of the over and then bowled Abhishekh Chidambaran with the final ball.

At the other end, Harrison Tegg followed that over with a maiden.

Gloucester’s woes continues as Goolden took his third wicket with his 17th delivery of the afternoon.

Matt Brown caught Sachin Yadav to make it 8-3 at the end of the fourth.

Gloucester skipper Daniel Brabham and Lafras Van Vuuren put up some sterner resistence, piling on 116 for the fourth wicket.

Brabham went to the opening ball of the 36th over when he was bowled by Callum King for 49 in a wicket maiden.

The visitors were now on 124-4.

King picked up his second wicket when Joe Sligh was caught by Tim Dannatt to make it 149-5.

Corse captain Matt Brown delivered another blow when he claimed a double wicket maiden in the 45th.

First he caught Maaz Mustak leg before with the second delivery and tempted Azim Shaikh to give Dannatt his second catch of the day with the next ball.

Brown again teamed up with Dannatt to claim the bowler’s third wicket when John Stillwell was caught in the 47th.

Tegg claimed his side’s ninth wicket when he had Nasrat Ahmadzai caught by Bertie Wyatt in the final over.

Goolden and James Dallaway put on 32 for the first wicket before Dallaway went for 14 in the seventh over.

Matt Cox and Goolden put on 36 for the second wicket before Cox went leg before for 20, including four boundaries, off 16 balls.

Things then got shaky for the home side as they lost four wickets for just 24 runs to leave them on 92-6.
