JOSEPH Thomas scored four as Howle Hill put an incredible 16 goals past North Gloucestershire Premier bottom club Ellwood.

Hill were already 10-0 up at half time and they scored a further half dozen unanswered goals after the break.

The other scorers were Connor Watkins, Ollie Evans and Joe Griffiths who each got a couple while there was one each for Ben Fisher, Callum Hall, Jono Wright, Craig Davies and Charlie Gwilliam.

The win moved them into third place in the table

Blakeney maintained their three-point cushion at the top of the table with a 2-1 win over Lydney Town A who started the day in third.

Sam Dowle and William Bates got Blakeney’s goals.

Huntley kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 5-2 win over Broadwell Reserves.

William Freeman scored twice for Huntley and there were also goals for Marc Mattews, Reuben Fishpool and Alfie Sheppard.

They remain behind Blakeney but have a game in hand and a superior goal difference.

Soudley are now five points clear of the drop zone after beating fellow strugglers Whitecroft.

Ollie Taylor got both goals for the home side in the 2-0 win – a win that sees Whitecroft remain in the second relegation place.

In Division One Tom Wareham got a hat-trick for Redbrook Rovers as they beat Ruardean Utd 1-6.

Thomas Maxted, Ieaun Frost and Daniel Heaven got the other Rovers’ goals while Leighton Beach scored for Ruardean.

Leaders Staunton & Corse Reserves stay two points clear of Rovers after picking up a 0-1 win with a late goal at Mushet and Coalway Reserves.

Daniel Gittings got the goal after 74 minutes.

Dan Jones scored after just five minutes to put Sling ahead at Yorkley.

The game ended 1-1 after Charlie Halford equalised.

Lydbrook Reserves and Tidenham drew 2-2.
