YORKLEY tied their match with Twyning after an exciting finish.

Ed Stubbs bowled a fine spell of 8-4-15-2 and Tom Worgan took 2-34 as Twyning scored 175-7.

Plenty of players got starts for Yorkley without kicking on, including Tom Worgan (32), Kevin Grant (23), Mark Moodie (21) and Dan Edmunds (25).

Yorkley still looked favourites, but a spell of 6.4-2-13-4 from Andy Coates brought Twyning right back into the match.

Coates clean bowled Andy Rowles and Chris Edmunds for ducks to earn his side a tie.

A half-century for James Martin and four wickets from Darren Matthews were the highlights of Newent III's KW Bell League win over Bream.

Arthur Haines (35) and Rupert Mitchell (33) starred with the bat as Bream scored 171-8 against some much-improved Newent bowling and fielding. Matthews took 4-25, with Sam Wallace, Laurence Hull and Tony Marcovecchio taking a wicket each.

Martin, playing his last game for Newent before leaving the area, held the reply together with 58.

Young Ollie Beale provided the firepower in the lower order with an impressive 36 not out as the target was reached with five overs to spare.

Rupert Mitchell and Terry Adams each claimed two wickets for Bream.

Eldersfield won by 40 runs against Penallt & Redbrook.

Steve Jones scored 73 in Eldersfield's 196-9. Lyndon Jacques was the outstanding bowler with 4-35.

Penallt could only score 156-8 in their 40 overs with Morgan top scoring on 33. Scott Dudfield claimed 4-34 with the ball.

Olly Hall (68) and Mark Gayther (44) guided Huntley II to 211 all out against Charlton Kings III.

Kings replied with 201-8, Rhys Gardener taking 2-28.

Parkend won at Lydney III by 159 runs.

Andy Taylor (pictured below) hit 17 fours and eight sixes in a brilliant innings of 155 not out as Parkend scored 242-8. Mike Webb was the next highest scorer with 20. Lydney's opening bowlers Sam Horton (8-0-17-3) and Aubrey Stubbs (8-1-30-2) both bowled good spells.

Peter Timmins took 5-28 from 7.5 overs as Lydney were bowled out for 83. Joel Giddins played exceptionally well for his 49.
