WHITECROFT Football Club has taken an important step to improve community safety by registering its defibrillator on The Circuit, the national defibrillator network.
The club confirmed the life-saving equipment is fully functional and available not only to people using the ground, but also to the wider Whitecroft community and beyond in the event of an emergency.
The Circuit provides NHS ambulance services with up-to-date information on the location and accessibility of defibrillators across the UK, helping emergency call handlers direct bystanders to the nearest device when someone suffers a cardiac arrest.
Every minute without CPR or defibrillation reduces survival chances, and many devices go unused because their locations are unknown.
Whitecroft FC is encouraging other organisations to register their defibrillators to help save lives.
