WE are now three months into our action in Libya.
The Government is currently spending £6 million of our money every week on this conflict.
Despite the astounding assertion by the Defence Secretary that our operation had been "extraordinarily successful" the fighting goes on and appears to have reached a stalemate.
Now the First Sea Lord states that he may have to remove Naval assets from defending UK waters if the campaign continues.
So perhaps the time has come for our local MP Mark Harper to tell us all what is our objective or "end game" in Libya.
I would suggest that like Afghanistan, the out-of-touch politicians of the three failed main parties have led us into something that was none of our business.
It is always so much easier to show boat on the world stage than get stuck into the dirty work of sorting out the economic mess that they have got us into. So , once again, the taxpayer and the military have to pay the price of saving the politicians' faces.
When will they ever learn. Then it is not their lives that they are risking or their money that they are spending!
I will look forward to hearing the reply.
