PATIENTS living near the Welsh border have had appointments and operations cancelled and been struck off waiting lists by a Bristol hospital trust over the alleged non-payment of bills by the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB).

University Hospitals Bristol Trust made the decision after the ABUHB left outstanding bills unpaid.

Normal service has now resumed but health campaigner Pam Plummer is concerned patients may suffer in future financial wrangles.
