FORMER England World Cup winner Phil Vickery says 'it's great to be back in rugby' after joining the Cinderford coaching staff as a consultant.
Vickery, who won 73 England caps, was in the dugout during Saturday's 40-0 win over Birmingham & Solihull at Dockham Road.
Since quitting the game in 2010 he has mainly been involved in various book and TV projects – recently winning Celebrity Masterchef.
He said: "I'm looking forward to being part of a professional, proper rugby club.
"I have been out of the game for more than a year and this role gives me a chance to get back into rugby, which I love."
Vickery joins a four man coaching set-up that will still be headed by director of rugby Andy Deacon.
Lee Fortey and Dave Pointon make up the quartet.
