FARM shop manager Moriss Joachim is livid after vandals destroyed his pumpkin sculptures.

Mr Joachim had spent hours constructing two elaborate human-shaped sculptures from pumpkins at the entrance of Riverview Farm Shop and Plant Centre in Blakeney, only to find the sculptures' body parts and heads crushed and scattered all over the A48 when he arrived for work last Thursday morning.

"Someone must have kicked the hell out of them, and for what reason?" he asked.

"We made them to give passing motorists and local kids something funny to look at.

"Lots of people were stopping to take photographs.

"It's just mindless. Bits of them have been left all over the road. About the only part left in one piece was a swede."
