Vandals who struck three cars, pushed over a gravestone and smashed a church window in Hewelsfield are being sought by police.

Their rampage happened between 1am and 2am on Sunday, June 19 but due to operational reasons police have not appealed until today.

The paintwork of a blue Vauxhall Agila and green Toyota RAV4 were damaged after being struck by an unknown object while the rear window of a black Audi A3 was smashed and its driver's side wing mirror broken.

The offenders also smashed a stained glass window of a local church and tipped over and broke a gravestone.

The damage caused to the stained glass window alone is valued at over £1,000.
