BRIDE-TO-BE Sallyanne Powles hopes she will finally get her happy-ever-after when she weds Steve Webley on the most romantic day of the year.
The lovebirds will tie the knot at Cinderford Registry Office on February 14.
The Mitcheldean pair had planned to marry on Halloween, three years after they first met at a fancy dress in the Yew Tree, Longhope.
But they postponed the big day after learning that Steve's 10-year-old nephew Jacob had developed cancer.
Now Jacob is on the mend and Sallyanne, 45, and Steve, 48, are celebrating with hearts and flowers instead of trick or treat.
"We could not even think about a wedding after we found out about Jacob," said Sallyanne.
"Now he's doing well so we decided to make it Valentine's Day instead.
"I hope this doesn't mean he'll only be taking me out once a year." Sallyanne's eight-year-old son Arran will be a page boy and the Penny Farthing in Aston Crews will lay on a Valentine themed reception.
