Two men were arrested last week in connection with a series of burglaries in Cinderford.

Police say the men, a 39-year-old and a 45-year-old, both from Cinderford, were arrested last Wednesday (February 9) in connection with “a number” of break-ins in the town over the last few weeks, including at a hardware store and a local school.

The two men have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information about the burglaries to come forward.

Local Neighbourhood Officer PC Ben Farley, who is investigating the burglaries, said: “It is not just about the financial loss suffered as a result of these crimes - burglary can have a real emotional impact on victims and the community, making them feel unsafe.

“Burglary is a priority for officers, as we look to bring reassurance to communities and help people feel safe in their own homes.”

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police via the online form on Gloucestershire Constabulary’s website, at www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported, quoting incident 76 of January 24.
