COMMUTERS from the Forest heading to Gloucester would face a swifter journey to work under a road scheme that was shelved 20 years ago, according to a Maisemore businessman and farmer.
Jeremy Chamberlayne, an advocate of plans to create a new trunk road between Gorsley and Longford in Gloucester, believes that the forgotten concept would be the answer to alleviating busy commuter traffic on the A40 and A48 near the city.
