REVELLERS in Lydney have been left in shock following the sudden death of popular landlord Ian Huyton.

Mr Huyton, 48, died from a heart attack on Christmas Eve.

He had run the Road House bar in Lydney with his son Marcus since June of last Year.

It is thought Mr Huyton passed away at the home of his girlfriend in Coleford, despite efforts being made to resuscitate him with 999 operators giving advice over the phone.

Mr Huyton died from cardiac arrest, according the ambulance service who sent paramedic teams to try and save him.

The Gloucestershire coroner has said there will be no inquest as his death was due to natural causes.
