TWELVE-YEAR-OLD Megan Jephcote from Coleford won the gold medal at the Welsh Schools' Indoor Championships in Cardiff. Megan (pictured) powered to victory with a PB.

The following day she capped a great weekend by winning another gold in the Welsh National Indoor Championships.

Next up is a trip to Ireland on December 18 to take part in the Irish National Championships.

In January she will compete in the Scottish Championships in Edinburgh, then the Finland National Championships in Helsinki in February.

Megan is also the first European rower to be invited to the Japanese National Championships in Tokyo in July.

Megan only took up rowing a couple of years ago, but she is the current national indoor rowing champion for her age group and a GB indoor rowing ambassador.
