VINTAGE tractors and cars made up most of the annual Christmas parade around Berry Hill on Saturday (December 11).

There was also a strong turnout by members of the Forest Landrover Group with their vehicles.

The festive spectacle started at the Bracelands camping site in Christchurch and made it way through the village to finish at Berry Hill rugby club.

Large numbers of people lined the route to cheer on the parade.

The parade was made up of around 30 vehicles.

It was led by Danny Dunkley, one of the parade organisers, in his International Harvester tractor.

Riding in the trailer behind, accompanied by carols was the Vicar of Christchurch Rev Tony Williams.

Many of the vehicles had been in a similar parade in Cinderford the week before.

Mr Dunkley said: "A lot of them just kept the decorations on their vehicles and came over to join us this week.

"It’s been a fantastic turnout."

The parade started three years ago when they joined children from Berry Hill School as they walked to church at Christchurch.

Tractor owners will transport carol singers as they spread some seasonal cheer on the afternoon of Christmas Eve to care homes in the Berry Hill area.
