ACTIVISTS have commandeered buildings at the closed Wilder-
ness Centre in Mitcheldean in a bid to secure its future.
Group members say they are not squatters but caretakers who will look after buildings they claim were left to rot.
Having moving into three old buildings they have set up basic living quarters and invited others from all over the country to join with them.
They say they will be hosting workshops and skill shares where people can learn and pass on their expertise.
But the county council says the taxpayer will have to foot the bill if legal proceedings ensue to remove the group.
