And over the weekend Jemma announced on social media that it had reached the £5,000 target.

She said: “A massive thank you to every single one of you that have donated. Her fund is for life, her legacy will continue.”

Ms Roberts said that even though the target had been reached the Trust which was set up to supply new parents with sensitive Angel Mats which warn parents if their baby stops breathing, and would be continuing.

In the run up to half-term school children across the district have been raising money for the trust by wearing pink items of clothing and holding pink themed events.
