GENERAL practitioners in the Forest of Dean have advised people not to visit their surgeries if they are self-isolating or displaying any symptoms of Covid-19.

A spokesperson for all 11 of the Forest’s surgeries said that they were ‘trying to reduce the footfall’ in surgeries to protect staff in order to continue offering the services patients need.

A statement said that those in self-isolation, or those with coronavirus symptoms, would be asked to leave immediately if they visited one of the surgeries.
