Champion 1Rifles supporter Sue Osborne, from Lydney, has already filled 40 shoeboxes with goodies for our troops in Afghanistan.

The boxes will arrive in time for Easter bringing cheer at a time when they will be missing their families.

Sue said: "My target is to fill 500 boxes for our soldiers to give them a few home comforts while they are serving out there."

Contributions to the boxes can be dropped off at the following collection points: The Forester offices 43 High Street, Cinderford, Harry Tuffins store and Orchard Road stores in Lydney and the town council offices in Coleford.
