PARENTS in a Forest town were told last Thursday that their school was to be shut for a week for health and safety reasons from the following day.

However, Sevenbanks Primary School in Lydney opened again on Monday, although a local councillor believes an investigation should be held into the circumstances that left parents with just hours to make swift arrangements for their children’s welfare last Friday.
