A 27-year-old Sling man who failed to tell police who was driving a Ford Ranger Wildtrack vehicle at the time of an alleged speeding offence last November has been ordered to pay £692 in fines, costs and surcharges.

Billy Lee of Oakwood Rd also had six penalty points endorsed on his driving licence by Cheltenham magistrates.

It was alleged that the vehicle was exceeding 40mph on the A417 at Nettleton Bottom on November 23 last year.

Lee was required to give the police details of who was driving at the time of the alleged offence but the court found that he failed to do so within the required time frame of December 14 to January 12 2023.
