Police have arrested a 14-year-old after finding a cache of dangerous chemicals at a house in Whitecroft.
The arrest follows a public safety warning issued by police for people in the Forest of Dean.
Two drums, one containing hydrochloric acid and one containing sulphuric acid, were stolen from a business in Whitecroft.
Two 30 litre blue drums were recovered at a property in Whitecroft yesterday and a quantity of potassium cyanide was recovered in Pillowell on Wednesday.
A 14-year-old boy from Whitecroft was arrested on suspicion of burglary on Wednesday.
He has since been bailed to return to the police station on Sunday, September 16.
An 18-year-old local man arrested on suspicion of burglary currently remains in police custody. He has been further arrested under the Explosive Substances Act 1883.
Although the police have recovered chemicals, the public advice remains that if they come across any items and cannot be sure what they are do not touch them, move away and immediately call the police.
