Clevedon 0

Cinderford Town 2

SAM O'Sullivan (pictured) shot Cinderford to victory at Clevedon on Tuesday night.

O'Sullivan was not named in the original starting XI, but took his chance after an injury to Josh Brown in the warm-up.

He found himself unmarked in front of goal to tap-in an 11th minute cross from Leon Jeanne.

O'Sullivan scored a much better second goal on 33 minutes. He collected a long ball, beat his marker and found the net with a low drive.

Lewis Sommers forced a fine save from Clevedon keeper Matthews with a header, while Town keeper Jermaine Jones – deputising for the injured Ben John – kept out a swerving Zayne Simpson free-kick.

Clevedon's Kyle O'Donovan headed against the bar from a corner just before the break.

Cinderford sat on their lead in the second half, controlling the game effectively without taking risks.

O'Sullivan went close to completing his hat-trick but his exquisite lob over the keeper just missed the target.

Cinderford Town: Jermaine Jones, Greg Lewis, Warren Archer, Danny Haines, Dale Evans, Lee O'Connor, Brad Andrews, Lewis Sommers, Nick McCootie, Leon Jeanne, Sam O'Sullivan. Subs: Andy Lewis, Tom Billings, Matt Barnes, Dan Harrison.
