OPPONENTS to this autumn's feral wild boar cull have set up an action group aimed at stopping the slaughtering of the feral pigs. The Forest of Dean Hunt Saboteur Group says it is to take lawful and peaceful direct action against this autumn's proposed slaughter of the feral boar population. The group believe that the Forestry Commission's cull, which is due to start on September 1, will result in hundreds of feral boar being killed. The members also claim that no proper analysis of boar numbers that inhabit the Forest has ever been properly taken.
