WE are all aware of the tax dodgers who make their profits in this country then go abroad to tax havens to avoid paying tax. £120 billion is lost in this way.

Then there's the £11 billion for the war in Afghanistan.

Britain is a signatory to the non-proliferation treaty, designed to put an end to nuclear weapons, yet our Government continues the Trident programme which must cost billions.

"War on Want" has published a report linking poverty to currency speculation on the Stock Exchange. The Robin Hood tax, set at a mere 10th of a per cent would earn £20 billion a year from currency speculation. So this talk of a need for cuts in our services is a big con trick.

I hope that realisation of this fact will encourage people to join the march against cuts in London on March 26. Free coaches will be leaving from Cinderford. For a seat on a coach, phone Pete on 01452 760235.
