REGENERATION chiefs say they are poised to turn their £100 million dream into reality with work to start on the Northern Quarter within months.
They claim the Cinderford project will bring £100 million into the district and create 1,220 jobs.
Now they are to launch a final round of community consultation on the finished masterplan which has seen the £11 million spine road moved to avoid rare bats.
Despite facing obstacles such as a judicial review by conservationists, all the main players say everything is in place to forge ahead with the long awaited scheme.
At a briefing this week the Homes and Communities Agency said £60 million has already been secured for regeneration projects across the Forest and the hunt is on for another £40 million.
