MORE than £10,000 of property was stolen during four break-ins on the same night.
In the first of the thefts, a barn at a riding centre in Sedbury was broken into and petrol, a silver Polaris Magnum 500 quad bike and a red Honda quad bike were stolen.
The second incident happened at a farm in Brockweir at around 3am on Friday when thieves forced their way into an outhouse.
They managed to steal a green Yamaha quad bike before they were disturbed and fled the scene.
Two more overnight break-ins in Tidenham were then reported later in the morning.
Tools including a Stihl chainsaw, Stihl disc cutter, a jumpstart pack and a socket set were taken from a shed in a yard while two cans of petrol were stolen from the garden of a house.
The four break-ins, which police believe are linked, happened either late on Thursday or in the early hours of Friday.
One of the stolen quad bikes has since been recovered.
