PRIMARY schools in the district say they will be ready for the introduction of a government initiative to provide free school meals to pupils from September.
However, some admit it is likely to be 'a challenge' to find extra staff and facilities.
Julia Dowding, Head of Mitcheldean Endowed Primary School, said: "The worry is getting a lot of children into the dinner hall in a certain amount of time and we don't want to sacrifice the children's curriculum time.
