ARTEFACTS left on graves in Lydney in memory of loved ones have been removed and destroyed without relatives of the deceased being informed.
Toys, teddy bears and flowers are among the items removed from Lydney Town Council Cemetery so that the grass around the graves could be cut.
Daniel Roberts, 17, whose nephews and niece are buried at the Lydney cemetery is one of the many families contacting The Forester with their concerns.
Mr Roberts said he was worried that personal items placed on his relatives' graves will be removed and added: "I think it's disgraceful that the council is removing these items of memorabilia. The authority shouldn't be removing them."
