A man climbed onto the roof of a house in Drybrook and stayed there for two hours before being arrested for burglary.
After police arrived, a patrol car was damaged by pieces of scaffolding which were thrown from the roof.
Officers were acting on an arrest warrant when the man climbed the scaffolding of the property in North Avenue at around 5.50pm on Thursday.
Officers cordoned off the surrounding area while trained police negotiators were sent to the scene.
The man finally came down from the roof at about 7.50pm.
No one was injured during the incident.
A 32-year-old man from Droitwich was arrested on suspicion of burglary and criminal damage a short time later in connection with the incident.
He is currently being questioned by officers.
