POLICE arrested one man after they seized cannabis and cash at a flat in Cinderford.
After raiding the property officers found £750 in cash and around £300 worth of cannabis and equipment at the semi-detached home between Parragate Road and the High Street.
Information gathered by police revealed that a large number of people had visited the address within a six-and-a-half hour period.
Officers from the Cinderford Police Station, helped by colleagues from Gloucester Support Group and the Intelligence Unit, raided the home at around 4.30pm on Friday.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and is currently on bail.
Inspector Jason Keates said: "We've clearly taken these drugs off the streets and impacted on their trade.
"I don't want people to think that this town is swamped with drugs, we just react on the information we're given and this is no different than anywhere else in the country.
"These searches demonstrate our determination to act on intelligence received from members of the local community."
One source claimed that the visitor numbers at the flat peaked in the afternoons after schools had finished for the day.
"From the intelligence and information there was a suggestion that young people were visiting the premises," said Insp Keates.
Later that evening, acting on information, police searched an address in Blakeney Hill, Blakeney.
Fifty cannabis plants were found along with equipment associated with the cultivation of the plants.
A 34-year-old local man was cautioned for cultivation.
These are the latest in a string of police raids this month.
