Police are appealing for information after a man suffered a stab wound in Lydney.

Officers were called by staff at Lydney Hospital at just after noon on Friday after treating the 39-year-old local man for a puncture wound to his arm.

The man has since told police that he was assaulted at around 10pm the day before by two men in an alleyway in Acorn Drive.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information about it should call Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident 191 of June 29.
