POLICE investigators have spoken to hundreds of people about a crash that claimed the life of Cinderford mum Louise Davies.

Officers have spoken to six people who were on the Stagecoach double-decker 31 bus that collided with 21-year-old Louise's silver Vauxhall Astra on Littledean Hill, near Cinderford, and a cyclist who was in the area at the time of the crash on 11.40am on February 26.

Four police officers handed leaflets to 500 motorists appealing for witnesses, and spoke to another 300.

"We spoke with people who had been there on the day of the collision and could provide useful information," said a police spokesman.

"We'd like to thank the local community for all the assistance and would urge anyone else who can help us further to call 0845 090 1234."

Louise's funeral will be held next week.

Her one-year-old son Callum is being cared for by his grandparents.
