A BODY which is believed to be missing man Rikki Baldwin has been found on the banks of the River Severn.

The discovery was made at around 1pm on Saturday after police had been alerted to a body near to the river at Gatcombe, Blakeney.

Formal identification could take weeks, say police, but the body is believed to be that of the 24-year-old from Sedbury who went missing on Easter Monday.

Rikki, who lived in Beachley Road, was to have stood trial with three other men on charges of affray and violence.

Prosecutor Christopher Smythe said evidence from CCTV, Rikki's phone and witnesses all point to him jumping from the A48 bridge over the River Wye on Easter Monday.

The Facebook group Help Find Missing Rikki Baldwin attracted more than 8,500 members.
