A series of new planning applications across the Forest of Dean have been published by the district council, with residents invited to submit comments before Tuesday, September 9.

One major proposal, P0885/26/OUT, seeks amendments to an existing outline permission for land north‑east of Grove Lane, Lydney. The changes include a reduced red‑line boundary and updated wording on surface‑water drainage conditions.

In Newent, application P0723/26/FUL outlines plans for a part‑retrospective dwelling at the rear of 9 Culver Street, within a conservation area and close to listed buildings.

Two further schemes affect public rights of way. P0852/26/FUL proposes a three‑storey extension and expanded decking at Craig Y Heul, Lower Lydbrook. Meanwhile P1913/21/FUL details a revised 5.8km pedestrian and cycling route linking Whitemead Park, Norchard Station and Bream Road.
