A YORKLEY paedophile who has repeatedly flouted court orders by continuing to practise his perversions has admitted a series of charges of taking pictures of children without their parents' consent.

At Gloucester Crown Court John Fennell, 51, of Stag Hill Yorkley, pleaded guilty to three offences of breaching his sex offenders order by taking pictures of children under 18 in Staverton, nr Gloucester without their parents' consent.

He also admitted one similar charge at an unspecified location, an offence of having indecent photos of children in his possession, and one of making an indecent image of a child.

The charges were all dated between November 28, 2009 and July last year.

Derek Ryder, prosecuting, told the court "These offences were committed while he was subject to a community order for similar types of offences. He also committed them while subject to police bail and in breach of a sex offenders order."

Steve Young, defending, said: "This man has breached his order on a number of occasions."

"But the offences are not at the top end of the scale. I have made it very clear to him that an immediate custodial sentence is clearly going to be considered by the court."

Asking for Fennell's bail to continue pending sentence, Mr Young said "His mother is in hospital with cancer."

Mr Ryder told the court that at the sentencing hearing he will be applying for an ASBO to be imposed on Fennell banning him from various buildings.

Judge William Hart said it might be better to encompass that in a new sexual offences prevention order against Fennell.

Bailing Fennell, the judge said "It is extremely likely that you will receive a custodial sentence.

Sentence was adjourned till March 4.

Fennell had received his most recent court order in 2007 when he admitted that he kept a secret videotape of children being abused while he was taking a sex offender's course.

He admitted 16 counts of making indecent photos between January 1, 2000 and February 6, 2004.

In 2004 he had admitted two offences of indecently assaulting a nine-year old girl and one of taking indecent photographs of her and was sentenced to a three community rehabilitation order.
