A PASSING recovery lorry driver from Cinderford stopped to help two men after their car crashed on its roof on the M42 last week.

Jeri Jones, who works for Overbrook Recovery in Drybrook, arrived at the scene just moments after the accident – and stopped to help the injured driver and passenger.

Jeri said: "The car was on its roof. I stopped and helped get them out. It's something everyone in that situation would have done.

"We were on the motorway, it was pouring down with rain and it was really dark. The M1 was really busy but it was relatively quiet on the M42."
