WHILE millions watched Audley Harrison's tame showing against David Haye on Saturday night, Forest Oaks starlet Paddy Hinds was putting on a much better fight against Tewkesbury's Will Thimaras.

More than 300 happy punters were treated to some excellent boxing at Oaklands in Cinderford.

Hinds led the way – landing a sweet left hook to floor his opponent.

Schoolgirl Connie Gardner boxed Hull's Charlotte Robinson in the show opener. She received great acclaim for her skilful debut.

Connie has been outstanding in the gym and brought that form into the ring.

Ben Smyth battled bravely, going down by a single point to Tom Murphy from Bristol. Ben got better with every round, but was edged out by the narrowest margin, despite a brilliant final round.

Mike Freeman never got going against Cornwall's Wes Smith.

Stepping up in class, Mike now knows the calibre of fighters he has to take on this season.
