Rising star Olly Alexandra will soon be enjoying the best of times with the release of his latest blockbuster Great Expectations as well as a new single.
Fans will be able to see the Coleford actor on the big screen again when Mike Newell's star-studded adaptation of the classic Dicken's tale is released next month.
Starring as Herbert Pockett, the best friend of main character Pip, Olly has been mixing in illustrious company of late.
War Horse star Jeremy Irvine, plays Pip, Ralph Fiennes is Magwitch and Helena Bonham Carter Miss Havisham.
Proud mum Vicki Thornton will be at the Odeon, Leicester Square when the film closes the London Film Festival on October 21.
She said: "I'm pleased as punch – and so proud of Olly. I always knew he would go far.
"That feeling you get when you watch your child perform in a school play still hasn't changed when I see Olly on screen or stage."
The film is due to go on general release on November 30.
Olly finished filming Great Expectations around a year ago and already has his next high profile acting role lined up.
As a young Peter Pan in the new West End show Peter and Alice he will share a stage with the legendary Dame Judi Dench and critics are already predicting it will be a success.
It will tell the tale of a 1932 encounter between Alice Liddell Hargreaves and Peter Llewelyn Davies, reputedly JM Barrie's inspiration for Alice and Peter.
But acting is not the only string to Olly's bow and in between the screen and the stage he has become a regular performer at well known music venues with his band Years & Years.
The band has just released a single I wish I knew which has been likened by one critic to Nina Simone crooning a lullaby to a folktronic lovechild.
