AFTER years of delays, the development of 49 homes at the Dean Meadows site in Mitcheldean finally started at the beginning of the year.
But now the developer wants to reduce the amount of dwellings on the site, while at the same time increasing the number of bedrooms by 25.
However, these revisions, submitted by Woodfield Developments, have been recommended for refusal by Forest of Dean planners.
Sandra Schwanental, clerk to Mitcheldean Parish Council, said that members also had 'strong objections' to the revised planning application for housing at the Dean Meadows estate in the village.
She said: "The members strongly objected to the style of housing proposed in the application, as they felt it was unsuitable for a village setting."
