NURSE Keira Loew has been spared jail after a fiddle which cost the NHS more than £20,000.
The 21-year-old claimed payments for shifts she had not worked over a two year period at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
She was brought to justice by an anonymous whistleblower who spotted that she was making claims for dates in the future.
After hearing the young mum needed the money to make ends meet while her partner was out of work and had been the victim of two abusive relationships, Judge Jamie Tabor QC said she needed help rather than punishment.
She received a suspended sentence and walked free from court.
